Social Studies
Through our study of early American History and geography, we will learn to critically read primary and secondary sources, organize data from a variety of sources in order to compare multiple accounts and perspectives, and construct arguments supported by evidence to demonstrate understanding of ideas and illustrate cause and effect. We will look at how events might have been experienced by the people of the time and why historical accounts change.
Topics of study include:
The War for Independence
Creating a New Government (1781-1789)
